Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Course Parse ("the Service"), available at www.courseparse.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. When you create an account you confirm this by ticking the box beside the sign-up button; we record the time and the version of these Terms you accepted. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Course Parse provides two things. The first is an AI-powered study tool that converts uploaded documents — including PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and text files — into study materials such as summary notes, flashcards, quiz questions, and AI-assisted chat. The second is a catalogue of AI courses: a free 10-module course and a set of paid, profession-specific tracks, each ending in a build project and a certificate of completion. The Service is provided by Mustafa Rasheed, trading as Course Parse ("we", "us", "our").
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Course Parse, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at support@courseparse.com.
5. Uploaded Content
You retain full ownership of any documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant Course Parse a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of generating your study materials. We do not share, sell, or use your uploaded content to train AI models, and we will not do so without asking for your explicit, separate consent first. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organisation and upload other people's personal data, our Data Processing Addendum applies, and our sub-processor list names the providers we use.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload any content you submit. You must not upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, contains illegal material, or violates any applicable law.
6. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid plans are processed securely through Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, tax, and compliance obligations on our behalf. By purchasing a plan, you agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.
Automatic renewal. Pro and Organisation plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as shown on the plan you chose) at the price shown when you bought, plus any tax, and we charge the payment method you gave to Paddle each time until you cancel. We show the price, the billing interval and these renewal terms next to the buy button before you pay. If we change a subscription's price we will tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
Cancelling. You can cancel online at any time in Settings, under Billing, without contacting us or giving a reason. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. One-time purchases (the Starter Pack, AI courses and bundles) do not renew.
7. Refund Policy
We offer a 48-hour refund on study-tool plans — Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly and Organisation plans — if you are not satisfied with the Service. To request one, contact us at support@courseparse.com within 48 hours of your purchase. One-time purchases (Starter Pack) are eligible for a full refund within 48 hours if no study packs have been generated.
AI courses and course bundles come with a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Every paid course also opens its first lesson in full before purchase so that you can judge it, and the full content, build project and certificate are delivered immediately on payment.

8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
- Share account access with others outside of organisation plan allowances
- Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service
- Resell or redistribute generated study materials commercially without permission
9. Intellectual Property and Publicity
The Course Parse name, logo, interface, and underlying software are the intellectual property of Course Parse. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.
We will not use your name, your organisation's name, or any logo or trademark of yours in our marketing, customer lists or case studies, or quote you, without your prior written permission, which you can withdraw at any time. A logo you upload for your own organisation page is shown on that page only.
10. Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties
We work to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will be available all the time or free of errors. There is no uptime commitment or service-level agreement. It may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, problems at our providers or for reasons outside our control, and we do not owe you a credit or refund for those periods beyond what the law requires.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated study materials are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You should always verify generated content against your original source material.
Much of the content on this Service — including course lessons, quiz questions, summaries, flashcards, and other generated material — was created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or outdated information despite our efforts to review it. You should independently verify anything important before relying on it, and Course Parse is not liable for any loss or damage arising from mistakes or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Course Parse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profit or academic outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, whatever the legal basis, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, and (b) US$50.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights the law of your country gives you that cannot be waived by contract.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where you access the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
